I Found Some Color

December 31, 2008

The leaves on this tree caught my eye while walking in the park the past two days – lovely yellow color in a white & brown winter landscape. So, I stopped to get the shot and my dog, Mully, leaps into the front seat and honks the horn at me. I thought, no problem, and then she lays on the horn and doesn’t stop until I get back into the car. I have to remember to take the keys out when the dogs are in the car. I was doing an engagement session this spring and after the couple’s dog had appeared in a couple of photos with them, they put her back in the car. When we moved to the next location, they found their dog had locked them out!

Second Stage of Christmas

December 26, 2008

The last few days were spent in Iowa City with more celebrating of Christmas and Nic’s 11th birthday. Here are a few of my favorite images – we are blessed to have had our family together for this much time and have laughed and laughed. The weather wasn’t the best but everybody has had safe driving, so far.

We all went to church on Christmas Eve (we filled an entire pew) and came home to Dawn’s delicious lasagna which had been already baking in the oven. We chose two different movies to go to yesterday – Marley and Me and Benjamin Button. Did you know that movie is THREE hours long? I’m glad I chose Marley & Me – there wasn’t a dry eye in the house and it made me regret saying all those bad things about poor Mully.

Christmas in Stages

December 23, 2008

This is the first of our Christmas celebration. This past weekend the whole family was together for a brief, 24-hour period. Tomorrow we will join the girls and their families in Iowa City for more partying. So, this afternoon I have a little time to finish up a couple of incomplete photo orders but I want to share a few of our photos first. The girls and their ballet show was a blast after our group photo.

Kelby in the Cherub Choir

December 18, 2008

It is SO fun to be able to add these big, beautiful photos to my blog. This is a shot from last week’s Christmas program in Iowa City. It was eventful, to say the least.

Website Update

December 17, 2008

Yeah – nmbphotography.com is working again. I still have to transfer galleries and create web pages ;-) I had no idea how complicated it was to transfer a domain name OR that I didn’t really need to do it. Oh well, I learned more in the process.

BTW – my email address is changing to nmbphotography@gmail.com

Now, if I could just decide on which Blackberry/smartphone to buy? Anybody have any suggestions? At this point, I’m learning towards a Blackberry Curve. My Verizon store still doesn’t have the Storm as there have been some bugs and updates to fix and I wasn’t very fond of my son’s when I got to try it out. I would totally choose an iPhone if AT&T had decent service where I live.

New Blog and Website Coming

December 15, 2008

Please bear with me – it’s a crazy time to be doing this but I’m in the process of switching to a new web hosting company and my blog will be located at the same address. Meanwhile, www.nmbphotography.com is not functioning but VERY soon I will have a new, beautiful blog.

Thanks for your patience!

Hello world!
