Emerson & Annaliese

March 29, 2009

I finally got to meet my newest great-niece, Emerson, who is already nine months old, and was lucky to get some really fun photos of her and big sister, Annaliese. Gosh, I love to photograph babies. I did this “on-location” at my sister’s house this past weekend in Cedar Rapids. Both of the girls have such beautiful, blue eyes. Emerson was just delighted to play with her tongue & the pearls and to make funny faces at me.

Later, I was amazed at how easy Emerson fell asleep laying in her Daddy’s arms with everybody talking around her. We were lucky to arrive there just before the snow started and then returned today in the bright sunshine.

It’s Sunday Already

March 23, 2009

And Erin is on her way back to Iowa City. It was a whirlwind weekend and I didn’t get up until 8:00 am and we had to be in the nursery to help by 8:45. Now, I’m getting ready for small group and my house is a wreck. Oh, well, it always gets back in place, doesn’t it? I just have to share more photos of Erin – she definitely wanted to do a photo session after her bath last night and didn’t really want to quit. But, it was a very full day and Grandma was tired. She wore her mommy’s wedding veil again for some of them and I used a vintage texture on that one. Here are just a couple:

Erin Alone

March 21, 2009

This is the very first time we’ve had Erin, four, alone for the weekend. We have so many things on our to-do list: make waffles, sit on the couch together watching Enchanted, discovery walk the golf course, ride the purple bike, play babies in the basement, Walmart trip for Pinocchio, lunch at Union Dairy. Don’t know if we can get it all done in such a short time ??

Cocoa Beach

March 14, 2009

This was last Saturday of our trip to Disney. We rented a car and took off for the beach after Paige’s “marathon” (according to her she’s done several). This is a beautiful, wide beach and the surfers were every where, to our delight. Paige had a great time strolling through the water and sand and discovering sea shells. After a fabulous fish lunch at Coconuts on the Beach, we headed over to Ron Jon’s for a little shopping – what a cool place.

Back from Disney

March 13, 2009

It was SO hard to leave Florida yesterday and the beautiful 80 degree plus weather. Totally blue skies every single day and the magic of Disney with Paige seeing it for the very first time. Here are a couple of quick pics of Paige at Cinderella’s Table at the top of the castle which we did last Sunday. These photos aren’t quite as sharp as normal as I hate to use flash in most of these indoor locations so the shutter speed is pretty slow. The light really was quite nice, though. Also, I normally don’t shoot in jpg but since I take SO many photos when we go I only shot in RAW on a few special occasions. I really notice the difference in the color range of these photos but isn’t her hair unbelievable?

Meet Alivia

March 2, 2009

I haven’t had the fun of photographing a baby girl for a while so, I was really looking forward to meeting three-month-old Olivia. Cori, her mom, and I got to try out my new hats and doesn’t she look enchanting in them?
