I’m determined to print more of my family digital photos. My goal is to make some personalized cards for my grandchildren and children with a few of my recent photos and to ease back into stamping, journaling and scrapbooking.
So many of us do nothing with our digital photographs other than look at them on the computer. Some don’t even get them into their computer. Tragically, we are in danger of losing these photos if they are not backed up on DVD or stored off-site or printed! I’m trying to remedy that problem in my life by trying to do more scrapbook pages that are simple and heart-felt with just enough journalling to take me back to each and every wonderful day with them. When our friend, Jim, recently visited our home he described it as a “gallery”. And, I guess it is, but I want to see more of them whether they are framed, in albums, in scrapbooks or just “plastered” all over my refrigerator.
This project, though, is intended to be a reflection on MY life (the abridged version). I registered for a class with Cathy Zielske after spending a couple of hours enjoying her blog archives and relating to her method of recording her family life. She gave us this little tag book to print and then alter and to keep with us at all times prior to the start of the class. I used a little bit of some Hippie Chick paper since I grew up in the sixties (yes, I’m a little old for this). The tag book is a tool to use to help us brain-storm about our lives using the alphabet as a guide.
